Snažne poplave koje su pogodile Srbiju, Bosnu i Hrvatsku ostavile su desetine hiljada ljudi bez doma, hrane i vode. Putevi i mostovi su poplavljeni, škole i obdaništa ne rade.

100,000 domova u Srbiji je bez struje dok nabujale reke i otpadne vode teku po gradovima i selima, potapaju kuće, izazivaju klizišta i ostale katastrofe. Reke nadiru u kuće, dopirući do visine drugog sprata dok ljudi traže spas penjući se na krovove. Interventne ekipe i vojska koriste čamce i helikoptere da spasu ljude zarobljene u poplavljenim gradovima.

U pretrpanim autobusima, čamcima i helikopterima, bez ičega sem osnovnih ličnih stvari, desetine hiljada ljudi napušta svoje kuće bežeći od najteže poplave u ovom veku.

Situacija je dramatična!

Severe floods have struck the people in Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia leaving thousands of people without homes, food and water. Roads and bridges are flooded, schools and kindergartens have been shut down.

100,000 homes in Serbia have been left without power, while rain-swollen rivers and surging water course through towns and villages, overflowing across streets into homes, causing landslides and other disasters. Rapidly rising rivers surged into homes, sometimes reaching up to the second floors, sending people climbing to rooftops for rescue. Emergency crews and soldiers are using boats and helicopters to rescue people trapped in the towns.

Packed into buses, boats and helicopters, carrying nothing but a handful of belongings, tens of thousands of people have fled their homes to escape the worst flooding in a century.

The situation is dramatic!
